Opened by Donna Wright, owner-operator of Palouse Pets Grooming Salon AND City Fish Shop, as well as a fellow pet owner facing the same concerns we all consider when making choices for our best friends - a fun, safe, and comfortable environment where a dog can be a dog.
K9 Campground—with its country and camping themes—offers boarding, daycare, and a large indoor play area dubbed Wagin' Tails Arena.
Located on Highway 95 just heading north out of Moscow, K9 Campground shares space in the Quilt Something! building just across from Moscow Building Supply.
“K9 Campground brings to the Palouse a lot of options for pet parents to choose from—things that larger cities have had for awhile,” says Wright, who has operated Palouse Pets Grooming Salon and the City Fish Shop for 3 years in Moscow. “Overnight campers can choose from some pretty special boarding accommodations in our camping cabins and RV sites. Then there’s a doggie day camp where pets can socialize and play (under camp director and counselors’ supervision) for hours and be ready to relax at home when they’re picked up. And, we have training camps where parents can bring their dogs for agility and other classes.
“It’s a first on the Palouse, and it’s a dream come true for me, something I’ve wanted to offer the pet and pet parent communities for years.”
